Buddha - Courtesy Post

Buddha is a super happy and loving senior Pit bull mix who sadly lost his home when his family had to leave the country to start a new life, and he was unable to go with them. He was well-loved and well-trained over the past 10 years, but is now looking for a family to love in his senior years. 

Buddha has a guardian angel who stepped in to help him when his family left. He had been suffering with allergies that have since been addressed because of this kindness, He is now healthy and ready to be placed in a foster home or with an adopter. 

Buddha loves cats, gets along with other dogs, and enjoys walks and toys. He is an all-around wonderful dog.

Buddy

MEET BUDDY!! This little nugget is 6 years old, 10 lbs. and deaf. Buddy is good with other dogs but doesn't want to be bothered by them. While he greets his foster mom with kisses when she gets home, Buddy would do best in a quiet home.  Although he is fearful, he really wants to be loved.

Cooper

Cooper is 11 years old and about 23 pounds. He is affectionate, crate trained, enjoys toys and playing fetch, walks nicely on leash and enjoys car rides. Cooper was raised in one home since he was a puppy. His life there was very stressful, which led to him being fearful of loud noises.  He will need a quiet environment with someone who will give him time and space to feel comfortable in his new surroundings. 

Cooper is neutered, current on his shots, microchipped, loving, warm and friendly.

Do you live alone, have no other animals, have a fenced in yard and can put him away when you have company?  If so, Cooper may be the dog for you. 

He is an excellent companion, he just can’t take a lot of excitement.

Duke

Duke is a 7-year-old treeing walker coonhound who was found as a stray in rural NC. He is a beautiful leash walker and would be a great hiking companion for someone.  Duke is very affectionate and happy. He enjoys his family and although he loves to be outdoors he also enjoys a soft bed !!

Duke has very manageable resource guarding in a home environment- so he will need an experienced adopter and a child-free home, which is a shame because he loves children and is very gentle with them.

He can go anywhere with you as he is very friendly and fun.

Fergus

In 2021, Fergus, a skinny little puppy, was surrendered to a NC shelter because at 10 weeks old he was having accidents. We had a transport scheduled for the following day, and the shelter asked if we had room for one more.  So we took him in, and he was adopted shortly after he arrived.

This week we received the very sad news that his mom passed away.  We remember Fergus’ mom fondly, and we extend our deepest condolences to her family.  Fergus is very fortunate to have a family member now fostering him. While he obviously misses his mom,  we are thankful that he had a soft place to land with people who want the very best for him. 

Fergus is about 5 years old and 50 pounds and doing well in his foster home. He is very good with people and lived his whole life with another dog.  His foster family has a dog who he loves to play and take walks with.  We think it best that if his new family has a dog(s) that they are about his same size.

He is living with a dog trainer who has been crate training him and teaching him many new things!! She will follow him and help Fergus’ new adopters with training and acclimating him to their home.

We are grateful to Fergus’ mom’s lovely family for making sure he was safe during this incredibly stressful time.

Please consider stepping in and healing his broken heart.

Flash

Introducing Flash, the charming 10 year old poodle with a heart full of love. Weighing just 15 pounds, Flash has found comfort in a loving and patient foster home, where he's doing great! This cutie walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides and playing with toys.

Flash’s ideal home would be with adults or older teens who can offer him a calm and predictable environment. Flash’s owner was male and, believe it or not, he is most comfortable with them. Young children, while wonderful, would be a bit too much for this sensitive soul.  Flash would do best as an only dog so that he can calmly acclimate to his home.

Macadamia 

Macadamia is a brown & white Jack Russel/Chi mixed pup and is is about 7 years old..

​He was  part of a massive group of dogs that were dumped at various areas throughout Sussex County, NJ.  Macadamia & Toffee were the first to be caught and went into the trap together.

Both Macadamia and Toffee are in separate foster homes each with another dog gaining confidence and doing wonderfully.

Macadamia has been vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He is still working on gaining confidence in his foster home but little by little we can see the trust building.

Toffee 

Toffee is a 1-2 years old, 13lb Chihuahua-mix pup.He is a fun-loving, affectionate little guy that will easily find his way into your heart.

​He was  part of a massive group of dogs that were dumped at various areas throughout Sussex County, NJ. They were the first to be caught and went into the trap together.

Toffee is in a separate foster home with another dog gaining confidence and doing wonderfully.He must be adopted to a home with another dog since canine companionship is essential to his well-being. Toffee will chase cats so it is best to secure a cat-free home for him.

He has been vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Toffee is ready for the next chapter of his life which will be nothing short of amazing!

Rosalyn - NEW FOSTER needed

UPDATE - Sept 2026

This blue-eyed beauty is Rosalyn. She is about 5 years old, weighs 55 pounds, and DNA testing revealed she is 75% German Shepherd.  Rosalyn found herself in an overcrowded shelter in South Jersey and was put on the dreaded euthanasia list through no fault of her own, and we couldn't let that happen!

Rosalyn is now living in a loving foster home and has been amazing.  She is a very smart and affectionate girl, loves a good game of fetch, enjoys car rides and walks nicely on a leash.

Although Rosalyn has tested well with cats and dogs, we prefer a home without other animals at this time. She likes a slow approach in all things. We are recommending no young children for Rosalyn. 

Rosalyn is good with other dogs and cats and wonderful on a leash walk.

Tommy - FOSTER NEEDED

UPDATE - Sept 2026

Tommy is a 2 1/2-year-old, 43 lb. Labrador mix. He came to us fearful,  dog reactive, and uncomfortable around men.  We carefully placed him in a wonderful board-and-train program, and we can confidently say he has flourished and is now the dog we knew he could be and has left those labels behind!  Look at him now HERE!

​

He’s sweet, playful, loves to swim, enjoys being outside, and loves being with his people more than anything. ​Now he’s ready for the part we’ve been working toward: a home to call his own.

Tommy will do best with someone active, patient, willing to continue reinforcing his training, and ready to give him the stability and love he deserves. ​

We think it best that, if his new family has a dog(s), they are about his size; sorry, but no cats or smaller dogs in the home. We will provide a trainer to work with the foster/adopter family.

Woody

​​At 8 weeks old Woody was found all alone and surrendered to the shelter. He found a wonderful family and now, 4 years later, he is looking for a second chance family. 

He is very friendly and enjoys the company of all people. Woody is suddenly having trouble getting along with the other 2 dogs in the home and it will be in his best interest to be the only dog.  He is very obedient and well behaved in the home but is now living separately to keep peace in the household.

The family although heartbroken, do not want him to live segregated. Woody is a loving , affectionate couch potato who would like nothing more than to be your friend.
